In the house of the Nordic Five, there was a girl named [Name].
[Name] was Finland's girlfriend.


She was like a sister to the rest of the Nordics and to little Sealand, she was like a mother to him.


The couple used to do everything together; playing, baking, sharing stories, delivering presents every Christmas, hanging out with or without the other Nordics and Sealand, walking Hanatamago and so on.


The two also knew that [Name] was only human, and could die anytime soon, while Finland was a country and was able to live for as long as his country stands.
Despite those circumstances, they both accepted it and spent every single moment they could together, which is exactly why [Name] moved in with the Nordics.

Many questions and random panicky things continued to swarm in the Finn's head as he waited for his girlfriend to finish taking a shower.

Sweden noticed his nervousness and put a hand on his shoulder. This made Finland  jump in shock, snapping him out of his mental battle.
"S-sweden? Sorry, I didn't see you there. Hehehe. I'm really sorry! It's just that I'm really nervous! I mean, what if she doesn't accept this? What if-"
Sweden put his hand up to silence the nervous Finn.
"It's going to be alright," the Swede said. This got Finland to smile, determination in his eyes.
"I can do this!"


"Do what?" [Name] asked, rubbing her hair with a towel.
Finland froze and looked at her. 'Ohnonononono I can't do this! Waaah mommy! Maybe if I back away slowly--' but as if Sweden could read minds, the Swede put his hand on Finland's shoulder again, making said Finn freeze. Again.

[Name] looked at them, confused. "Um...am I missing something?"
Finland smiled nervously and said, "W-well, you see... [Name], will you--"

Finland was about to pop the question when England came running in. "HAVE ANY OF YOU SEEN MY EYEBROWS? I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THEM FOR SO LONG AND MY FOREHEAD IS GETTING QUITE COLD WITHOUT THEM," he said.


Denmark, who was in the kitchen, was trying not to laugh. When he could no longer hold it in, he started laughing without any sound while silently clapping, making him look like a retarded seal.

Good thing Norway was there.

Denmark started mouthing the word 'sorry' until he passed out.
Norway let go of his tie a little after he passed out.


ANYWAY.

[Name] looked at England and said, "Arthur, why won't you ask anyone from the BTT, the other members of the Magic Trio, Alfred, or Peter? They might know".

England looked at her, eyes wide in recognition. He slowly said his thanks, backed away slowly, and ran out of the house, screaming "YOU BLOODY WANKER! I NEED MY EYEBROWS!" Followed by, "HELP. I HAVE FALLEN AND CANNOT GET UP".


Finland looked at England's retreating figure with a 'wtf-just-happened-here' look.
[Name] looked at Finland and smiled. "You were saying?"


Finland gulped and faced her. He sighed, got the box from his pocket, knelt down on one knee, and cleared his voice.

"Well, no use waiting anymore.....[Name] [Last Name], I know this is not romantic at all and a little out of the blue, but will you marry me?"

At first, [Name] stood there, shocked. "T-tino....I..."
Finland looked down, crestfallen. "I was right...of course you wouldn't--"

He was cut off by [Name]'s tackle glomp. "Of course, I'll marry you! Why wouldn't I?"
Finland blushed, both because of what his new fiancé said and embarrassment.
He then smiled. "Thank goodness, [Name]," he said.


"WOO! GET SOME, FINNY!"


Even though Denmark used that as a joke, Finland really did get some.

Sweden had to make a new bed.

Their marriage was to be in December. On December 24th, to be exact.
But it never happened.


Months before December, [Name] had gotten a very fatal disease and she would not be able to make it.
Good thing she wasn't pregnant.


It was her final day and she wanted to spend her last moments with her Nordic friends, Sealand and her beloved.


That was exactly what she did.

They did everything that they could to make her last day special. They were all very sad and were trying their best not to cry, knowing that they would never see her again.


Hours passed and she started to get weak. The girl was taken back home to her bedroom.
She weakly held Finland's hand with a smile on her face. The other Nordics and Sealand were gathered round the bed, crying.
Well, Denmark and Sealand were weeping, Iceland was crying, and Norway and Sweden were tearing up. None of them wanted [Name] to die. She was the first to make Finland happier than before and she was like the light of the house.


"T-tino, promise me that you'll move on and find someone who could love you more than I could ever love you. In that time, it's alright if you forget about me, alright? My greatest regret is not being able to grow old with you...I love you and I'm glad that I was able to spend my final moments with you and the others," she said. She slowly turned her head to the others and said,
"Even when I am gone, I want all of you to continue being happy. Peter, I know you'll grow up to be an amazing country".

Hanatamago gently sat beside her. [Name] laughed weakly and put her frail hand on the dog's head. "Be good, okay, Hana?"

Hanatamago barked sadly, as if saying "alright".
Mr. Puffin flew down beside Hanatamago. "How about me, toots?"
"You, too, Mr. Puffin. Don't give Emil a hard time".
"Fine, but only because it's you, toots!"


She turned back to Finland, gently pecked him on the lips, and said, "thank you...for all the...love...and thank...you for...being with me...I love you, Tino...don't you ever forget that..."
She went limp, but the smile on her face never faltered.


Finland's eyes widened. "[N-name]? No, this can't be...." He tried shaking her awake, but to no avail.


She was gone.


"I love you, too, [Name]".


Her funeral came just a week after. It rained on the day of her burial.

Finland was leaning against the doorframe of [Name]'s room. Her things were still scattered everywhere, remaining untouched.

He held the necklace he wore, the one with his engagement ring, the one thing he would always stick close to his heart, the final remembrance of her.

"So this is what it feels to be heartbroken.... It's not a good feeling, that's for sure," Finland said to himself, chuckling dryly.
He looked out the window and smiled sadly. It was raining. "How fitting," he commented.


"I'm sorry, [Name]. I shouldn't be doing this. You told me to move on, and yet, here I am, crying and being depressed on this very day. I guess I should fulfill your final request, even though it's such a hard task.
Before I move on, I just wanted you to know that no matter how many years go by, I will always love you. Even if I start to forget you, you'll always have that one special place in my heart. If ever I let myself love again, you won't lose your place in my heart, [Name]. No one could ever replace you.
